The telescope controller (hereinafter CT) is designed for optimal operation of the telescope. The following systems are integrated in our controller:
- a cooling system that controls the operation of all the telescope fans. 4 independent control channels. Tuning the operation of the channel both for a given power and for a temperature delta.
- a heating system that controls the heating elements to combat fogging of the optical elements of the telescope. 4 independent control channels. Tuning the operation of the channel both for a given power and for a temperature delta.
- a control system for telescope covers that controls the closing and opening of telescope covers. 6 independent channels. There are two terminals on each channel to control the full opening or closing of the dedicated cover.
- a temperature control system that provides complete information on the temperature of telescope elements and transmits this information to the above systems for their optimal operation.
There are three interfaces for connecting the CT to the observatory computer - COM, USB and Ethernet.
